This help article applies to users on Fresh Projects Version 2.
Which version of Fresh Projects am I using?
00:00: LiveSheets are dynamic Excel
00:01: reports that connect straight to your live Fresh Projects data.
00:05: In this guide we'll build one from scratch:
00:08: choosing a template, adding data feeds,
00:11: setting date ranges,
00:12: and filtering down to the projects you care about.
00:16: Open Live Sheets and click New Document.
00:20: You can start from one of the global templates, or choose Blank to build your report
00:25: from the ground up.
00:26: We'll start with a Blank template.
00:30: Give the report a clear name and description.
00:33: This is what your team will see in the report list,
00:36: so be specific.
00:38: Pick the folder where the report will reside.
00:42: If you need a new folder,
00:44: click Add, name it,
00:45: and save.
00:48: Once you have chosen your template,
00:50: given your Live Sheet a Name, Description and Selected a Folder,
00:54: you can save your Document.
00:57: Hover over your new report and click Manage to start configuring it.
01:02: Navigate to the Live Data Feeds section to manage data sources for your heet.
01:09: Add the feeds that will supply your report.
01:12: Each feed becomes its own sheet in the workbook.
01:15: Here we're adding Subprojects and Timesheets.
01:19: Open a feed to see every field available to it,
01:22: and tick the ones you want.
01:24: Use the search box to find fields fast.
01:28: Everything you tick becomes a column on that sheet:
01:31: such as project code,
01:32: project details,
01:33: client details,
01:35: income, expenses, and more.
01:39: Click the sigma icon to build your own field from existing data.
01:44: Name it,
01:45: then write your formula.
01:47: Variables go in double curly brackets, like {{variable_name}}.
01:53: Then, choose how the data behaves when the file is opened.
01:58: "Automatically" refreshes on open.
02:01: "Manually" prompts you first, which is useful while you're still building the report
02:05: out.
02:07: Open the general settings to configure overall options for your Live Sheet.
02:13: One date range applies the same period to every data feed.
02:18: Choose Specific Dates to pin the report to fixed dates.
02:22: If you have chosen "Specific Dates",
02:25: select the start date to establish the beginning of your data range for the report.
02:31: Choose a start date to set the lower boundary of your date range.
02:36: Select an end date to complete the date range for your Live Sheet data.
02:41: Apply the selected date range to filter the data displayed in your Live Sheet
02:46: report.
02:48: Switch to relative dates to filter data based on dynamic time periods like last
02:53: year or month.
02:55: Access the relative date options to choose predefined time frames for your data
02:59: filters.
03:02: Select the last year option to view data from the previous calendar year in your
03:06: report.
03:08: Switch to "Per data
03:09: feed" when different sheets need different periods.
03:13: If you have opted to set dates "Per data feed", navigate back to the Live Data Feeds section
03:18: to review or modify your data sources.
03:22: Each feed now carries its own date setting.
03:27: Live Sheets also allows you to filter to refine the data displayed in your report
03:31: further.
03:33: Choose the project status filter to narrow data based on current project progress.
03:40: Confirm your filter choices by clicking "Done".
03:44: Finally,
03:45: save all changes made to your Live Sheet report by clicking "Save Document".
03:51: Now choose how you want to work.
03:54: Select open to work in Live Sheets directly in the Web.
03:59: Select Download for an offline copy.

04:09: This article guided you through creating and configuring a Live Sheet document,
04:14: including setting up data feeds,
04:16: applying filters,
04:17: and saving your work for effective project reporting.
