Which version of Fresh Projects am I using?

00:00: Project data is now presented in a table format, allowing users to create multiple

00:05: custom views.

00:07: This gives you the flexibility to create views tailored to what matters most to you.

00:12: Custom views allows faster access to your relevant data

00:15: - resulting in less time spent filtering or searching for what you actually need.

00:20: Let's take a look at how to set up a custom view within our Employee dashboard...

00:26: On the Main Menu click 'Settings'.

00:30: Then, click 'Employees'.

00:34: At the top of your page,

00:35: click 'Add Custom View' to start creating a new view.

00:41: Then,

00:42: begin by naming your new view.

00:46: Click the visibility dropdown to assign who has visibility of this specific view.

00:52: Within the Filters tab, you'll be able to add employee-specific parameters that are relevant

00:57: to your view.

01:00: Start by clicking "Add filter" to add a new filter option.

01:05: Then select your relevant filter from the dropdown menu.

01:10: You might opt to filter by License Type.

01:13: You'll then have the option to add further parameters for the employee data you'd

01:17: like to see.

01:19: In this example,

01:20: I would like to see all employees with a Director level license.

01:26: Then click done.

01:30: All your filters will then be displayed, and you can continue adding additional

01:34: filters as needed.

01:38: You can then proceed to the Columns tab to customise which columns appear in your

01:42: employee view,

01:43: as well as the order in which they appear.

01:47: Columns are broken down into Left,

01:50: Center,

01:50: and Right grouping options.

01:53: Columns that are "Pinned Left" are fixed to the left side of the table.

01:59: "Center Columns" are scrollable columns located in the central area of the table.

02:06: Finally, columns that are "Pinned Right" are fixed to the right side of the table.

02:12: To rearrange any columns,

02:13: simply click the column icon.

02:17: Then, assign it to another column grouping.

02:21: To adjust the visibility of columns,

02:23: simply toggle the column off to hide it.

02:28: You can also easily reorder your columns by dragging and dropping them into the

02:35: Below is a list of additional "Hidden Columns" that don't appear by default.

02:41: To add one of these hidden columns to your view,

02:44: simply toggle the column to active.

02:49: Now,

02:49: click on the "Display" tab to customise grouping options as well as default displays

02:54: for your custom view.

02:57: Ticking "Group Rows" will allow you to group your rows based on any filter

03:00: parameters you have chosen.

03:04: In this example, I will be grouping employees according to Job Catagory.

03:10: Then,

03:11: select the default state as either Collapsed or Expanded.

03:15: Collapsed groups are closed by default,

03:18: showing only group headers until you click to expand them.

03:22: Expanded groups are open by default,

03:24: showing all employees within each group right away.

03:30: You can tick "Show Group Subtotals" to display a subtotal value below each group.

03:37: In the case where you have selected a numerical value column for your custom view,

03:41: such as "Cost Rate"

03:43: - the "Add Footer" option will become available to you.

03:47: You will now be able to aggregate your employee data based on this value,

03:51: as well as choosing the calculation method displayed.

03:56: You can select from a variety of calculation options such as Total, Average, or

04:01: Minimum.

04:03: Finally,

04:04: click "Save View" to save your custom view settings and apply them to your employee

04:08: dashboard.

04:10: Your new custom view will now be displayed on your employee dashboard,

04:14: showing your data based on the column,

04:17: grouping,

04:17: and display settings you selected.

04:22: The sort icon will allow you to seamlessly sort column data.

04:28: Here you can easily collapse and expand your project groups as needed.

04:34: Below each group will be the relevant subtotal data value.

04:39: At the bottom of the page will be your pre-configured aggregated data value.

04:45: Within the dashboard, you also have the option to add any extra filters or make

04:49: column adjustments,

04:51: giving you the flexibility to make changes directly from the dashboard.

04:56: Any changes to filters or columns will be flagged by an orange dot on your custom

05:01: view name.

05:02: This orange dot indicates that unsaved changes have been made to your custom view.

05:08: Clicking the three dots will allow you to save these changes to your current view,

05:12: save them as a new view,

05:14: or discard these changes entirely.
