Note: This guide is for bulk importing clients via the import template option, if you are looking to add individual clients please see Adding a New Contact.
If you would like to add tracking categories to your client information you will need to do this before you begin your import, please see Setting Up Tracking Categories.
To get started with the bulk client import:
1. Click on the Configurations tab ⚙︎ and select Imports from the dropdown list.
2. Once you are on the Imports Page click on Clients - Import Client Information
Note: the Required Fields are labeled with a "*". Scroll to the bottom of the page to see any required tracking categories that have been set up for your account, ie branch names.
3. Click on Download Template to download the excel template for importing your bulk contacts.
4. Open the excel file and populate the information, making sure that all of the above "required fields" are completed. Take note that all contacts are assigned one of three types (Client, Supplier or Peer). Save your template once completed.
5. Click on Upload File and add upload your completed template.
6. Your imported data will be displayed on the screen and any errors / typos will be noted in red
7. Click on the error to open a text edit box to fix it.
8. Once all errors are resolved you can click import to complete the import.
9. You will get a message to let you know that the import has been a success.
10. To view or edit your contacts navigate to Contacts > Companies
