Once a freeform has been assigned to a project, it can be used to track steps and criteria.
Let's look at an example in which we use a freeform to decide whether a project opportunity is worth investing time in.
- Open the selected project opportunity, click on the three dots and select Project Freeforms from the drop-down list.
- The previously assigned, blank freeform will appear for the project.
- We are told that for this potential project, competition is at a medium level. From the drop-down list next to Competition select Medium.
- After reading the specifications for the potential project, we feel that the type of work to be done would be well suited to our company. From the drop-down list next to Matches Our Expertise, select Yes.
- Next to Score the number 8 will appear highlighted in green. The number is the sum of the individual scores of the items in the freeform, i.e. 3 for Competition and 5 for Matches Our Expertise. The colour green indicates that the score is higher than the minimum score specified. Thus the project opportunity is said to be cleared and worth placing a bid on.
- To finalise the freeform, click Save.
