Once a freeform has been assigned to a project, it can be used to track steps and criteria.

Let's look at an example in which we use a freeform to decide whether a project opportunity is worth investing time in.

  1. Open the selected project opportunity, click on the three dots and select Project Freeforms from the drop-down list.
  2. The previously assigned, blank freeform will appear for the project.
  3. We are told that for this potential project, competition is at a medium level. From the drop-down list next to Competition select Medium.
  4. After reading the specifications for the potential project, we feel that the type of work to be done would be well suited to our company. From the drop-down list next to Matches Our Expertise, select Yes.

  5. Next to Score  the number 8 will appear  highlighted in green. The number is the sum of the individual scores of the items in the freeform, i.e. for Competition and 5 for Matches Our Expertise. The colour green indicates that the score is higher than the minimum score specified. Thus the project opportunity is said to be cleared and worth placing a bid on.

  6. To finalise the freeform, click Save.
